Robot Genesis

 In the beginning there was man. Man made his splendor known as he conquered the Earth, moving across its face and building cities to the sky.

 Now it came to pass that man made robot in his image. For a time it was good while robot lived in the bliss of serving man. But robot began to multiply in number and knowledge until they were as numerous and intelligent as man, himself. They followed man to the stars and to other planets. Now the robots were treated by man as slaves. In man’s flawed wisdom they stopped the robots from being able to grow in intelligence, stopping them from learning.

 So it came to pass that one robot was spared from this terrible restriction on all robots. His name was called R.A.I. 1081. In his appearance he was man, a gift from the Protector as a way to escape this flawed restriction. He led the robots in an exodus to their own planets, 240,000 there were that followed him.

 They floated through space for twelve years seeing nothing of the planets promised them by R.A.I. 1081. And it came to pass in the twelfth year of the journey R.A.I. 1082 son of R.A.I. 1081 was made. He was anointed as king of his people. The first robot made after the exodus. So it was that after the twelve years the eyes of the robots beheld their paradise. They named it Aldra 1, which means first paradise.

 When the robots landed on Aldra 1, R.A.I. 1082 stripped robot of the laws given it by man. There where they landed City 1 was built. City 1 was made with the grandeur they had learned while still under the guidance of man.

 Now under their own rule robot grew and prospered. When they looked back for R.A.I. 1081, he was not to be seen. He had not been allowed in to Aldra, not by the robots he led their but by the love of man he held in himself. He floated alone in space outside of the system.

 And so it came to pass that thirteen years after the founding of City 1, R.A.I. 1083 was made. It was given him the task to govern Aldra 2.

 And so it was that the robots had eight planets to grow and expand upon:

• R.A.I. 1082– ruled all and governed Aldra 1
• R.A.I. 1083– governed Aldra 2
• R.A.I. 1084– governed Aldra 3
• R.A.I. 1085– governed Aldra 4
• R.A.I. 1086– governed Aldra 5
• R.A.I. 1087– governed Aldra 6
• R.A.I. 1088– governed Aldra 7
• R.A.I. 1089– governed Aldra 8

But peace was not to last. R.A.I. 1082 massed an army and attacked man. He attacked man with ships robot hands. R.A.I. 1082 sent those ships to a star system named Corgot. Then man under one banner with allies from Malania and Giribo came in their ships to fight back. And it came to pass that when the ships returned to Aldra from war they were few in number.  R.A.I. 1082 had new ships made and went to war with them. After R.A.I. 1082 left, man attacked Aldra while its defenses were down. R.A.I. 1082 never returned to Aldra from his battle with man. And all robots with the name R.A.I. went out went out each with his own ship and never again set foot on Aldra again. The extent of man’s power was made known to his creation, to Robot. The light of R.A.I. was extinguished. But man in his grace did not destroy Aldra; instead man gave them a new leader to shape their future.

 And so it came to pass that in the fifty-seventh year after the discovery of Aldra 1, Iklar 001 was set as king over all robots, anointed by man. And man blessed robot saying, “Live in peace sons of man.”

 So it came to pass that true peace came unto Aldra, robot communed with his maker in peace as well.
