August 24, 3028

We were working on the computers all day today! We have not been allowed to leave the complex for three days. I was amazed at the break through that Martin made. He is moving up through the ranks very fast! To fast! I have just not had any luck and here Martin is has already moved up in the ranks. It’s almost as if he paid off the “Superiors”. But that’s impossible! The “Superiors do not take money not even from the earnings the company makes with its findings! So how is Martin moving up so fast in rank? I will try to investigate this.

September 18, 3028

I am only aloud to update this once a month. That’s the only free computer time we get. All other time is spent researching and updating the hardware and software. It seems Martin was a spy from the C.O. that’s how he was able to go through the ranks so fast there was no one who could claim he hadn’t been promoted. The C.O. gave him the paperwork, uniforms and all the other necessities needed to pass as a higher rank. I don’t know if I’m allowed to enter this into this journal but here it is.

October 21, 3038

            I have been promoted! I have also been added to the roster for higher ranking officials. I got removed from the Computer Lab and put into “The Superiors” classification.

            I have also noticed that the highest ranking commander of the company –Nexus Corp. –is very, very secluded. I have only met him once. It was when I was at my promotion ceremony.

November 19, 3028

            Nexus Corp. had its annual certification today. The empire sent a pansy to check on what we were doing. I had the task of showing him around. He was the biggest ass whole I have met!

            The funny thing, at least it seems to me, is that he doesn’t know what we are doing here. He thinks we are researching new computer technologies. This is true but we are searching the computer network for any trace of R.A.I. 1080. So that way we could create a newer model, not susceptible to the computer virus that almost destroyed R.A.I. 1079, we would call this newer model R.A.I. 1081 of course! It would take a little time to build him but I am confident that our team can do it!

            The empire doesn’t know that R.A.I. 1080 is susceptible to the Hydra computer virus. If they did they would have used it already. That I am sure of, but maybe Emperor Jucal is not as smart as I’m giving him credit. If this information was leaked out the empire would stop this war with Vlor very fast indeed.

December 29, 3028

            Here in the last days of this year I am stuck wondering why R.A.I. 1080 has not yet really attacked the Empire. He has come very close as one of his ships was skirting Imperial space and one of the Emperor’s ships was skirting Vloran space. But he never opened fire and neither did the Emperor. I was there on the Vloran ship watching the Imperial cruiser come up beside us. The ship was awesome in its magnitude so much bigger than the Vloran battle cruiser. Sometimes that makes me wonder if I have chosen the wrong side.

January 31, 3029

            The virus has been sent. R.A.I. 1080 was contained into a computer –one that doesn’t have a link to any other computer. I am kind of relieved that we do not have to worry about the war any more. I saw the end of our research as well. Because R.A.I. 1080 was powered down I was able to copy his programming and working processors onto a data crystal and transport it safely back to the Nexus. I have been promoted to third in command for that. I was very happy to meet the “Owner” of Nexus Corp. at the ceremony. He is still as mysterious as ever. But being third in command I am able to meet him a lot!

February 28, 3029

            My son has been born R.A.I. 1081 has been finished. All that is left is to put him into a society where he can attack the Empire!

March 1, 3029

            The Emperors 17^th birthday is coming up soon we are going to let R.A.I. 1081 attack the day after! We have also started work on R.A.I. 1082. He will be more complex then R.A.I. 1081 was but it will make him less susceptible to viruses. I am personally working on the programming for R.A.I. 1082, just like R.A.I. 1081!

March 10, 3029

            We are going to “insert” R.A.I. 1081 into Imperial Society in five days. The Emperor turns 17 in four days. My son has grown in knowledge from when he was first turned on! Being third in command I can update this journal whenever I want!  I have shown my son his destiny today and he will learn it again tomorrow. He has no knowledge of the outside world he has been alone in the hive. Ten miles below the surface of Gartenro, the hive is very secluded no one knows it’s there but Nexus high ranking men! R.A.I. 1081 was designed to blend in perfectly. The most skilled could not tell that he is not he is a robot. He himself does not even know! He thinks that he came from a society where everyone was named the same way he was and he is from the R.A.I. Family. We have also given him a name! Ray Atadi Intorada. That is his official name from planet Gartenro. Born 2999, the year before the great festival! That is actually when the R.A.I. project first started 30 years ago, on the space station floating above planet Gartenro. R.A.I. 1 – R.A.I. 1078 were complete failures there A.I. was minimally above the best A.I. ever created. But then when R.A.I. 1079 was finally able to switch on its own A.I. it killed the entire group of original scientist on the space station. He launched off to kill the rest of humanity the one who had hurt him so dearly. He landed on Crondoria in a field not far from the owner of Nexus Corps. –Regie Govris’ –home who was the one who was paying for him to be made in the first place. Mr. Grovis told R.A.I. 1079 he would help him and they proceeded to make plans. Then in one attempt Nexus took Crondoria and the “Crondorian Conflict” began! During the “Crondorian Conflict” Mr. Grovis and Nexus Corp. set up a system to reproduce him. Just in case he got destroyed during this war. Though Nexus was also improving on his programming and working R.A.I. 1080. After the war R.A.I. 1080 was placed on Vlor to get rid of the Empire. During this war R.A.I. 1080 was destroyed.

March 11, 3029

            During the “Vloran War” R.A.I. 1080 was experimenting with making others with distinct personalities. It had worked he came up with a programming algorithm that would allow each robot to have a different personality. The production was started all they need is to be activated and a leader of course. R.A.I. 1082 will be that leader when he is created. We have found a system for them to live on. It’s a small planetoid outside the Empires control. It’s called the Aldra system and the cities are already being built as I write this.

March 31, 3029

            My son has become part of political wars in the Empire. He is denouncing the Emperor, and doing a very good job at it! The Aldra system has been set up we are working hard on finishing R.A.I. 1082. He will be the robot to usher in a new system for robots, no longer bound by laws. Their brains will flourish. They will make their society grow, and wither as well as have their own disputes between each other. The one law we will bind them to, is that they cannot have wars between each other. No matter how much one hates another they can’t have a war! This will cause more stability to a growing society. The views we will embellish on R.A.I. 1082 will be like no other before him. He will be bound by no law but will make laws for his people. They will not be programmed to follow the laws only will they know them. Just the way that we are not programmed with our laws but know that we should not trespass against them.

June 1, 3029

            R.A.I. 1082 is finished and the Aldra System will be officially powered up tomorrow. We are working on finishing the last processes of the society. We have hired a brilliant writer to create an “Exodus,” story for them. We will transmit this to every robot at the exact moment that they are turned on. Every robot will have the fake memory of the Exodus from the Empire.

June 2, 3029

            The robots were activated this morning at 0400 hrs. We are now shutting down our bases here in the Empire. All the high ranking Nexus officials will be going to live out the rest of their days on Aldra 1 in Capitol City 1. I will not be following the rest of the high ranking officials, Regie Govris, the Nexus Owner, was very disappointed that I was not accompanying them. This is therefore my last entry into this journal. It has been a good 20 years at this company. Even when the Empire has thought our views were wrong.
